Why this toolkit exists
Since February 2025, the EU AI Act has expected every organisation that uses AI to make sure the people using it have a sufficient level of AI literacy. That is not a technical duty and it is not really a legal one. It is a human one. It is about whether your people understand what these tools can and cannot do, where the risks sit, and when a human needs to stay in charge.
Most organisations know they should be doing this. Far fewer have something concrete to hand their teams. This toolkit closes that gap. It gives you credible, ready-to-run materials so you can build real understanding in your people, and a simple way to record that you have done it, without waiting for a big project or a specialist trainer.
What is inside

A plain-language explainer
What AI literacy actually means, why the EU AI Act has expected it since February 2025, and what “enough” looks like for different people. Written for a general reader, with no legal or technical jargon.
Role-based briefings
Three short, ready-to-run briefings tuned to what each group actually needs: one for leaders and executives, one for managers, and one for general staff. Each one covers what AI is, where it shows up in their work, and how to use it responsibly.
A facilitator guide and slides
A step-by-step guide so anyone in your organisation can run a sixty to ninety minute session with confidence, plus editable slides and talking points. No specialist trainer required.
Discussion prompts and scenarios
Realistic, everyday scenarios and questions that get people talking honestly about where they are unsure, where they are over-relying on AI, and where a human needs to stay in the loop.
A training log template
A simple, ready-to-use record of who was trained, when, and on what. This is the evidence that you have taken AI literacy seriously, kept in a form you can actually show.
A one-page take-away
A short handout people keep after the session: the handful of habits and questions that matter most when working alongside AI, in language they will remember.

We would rather be clear than oversell. This toolkit is not:

It builds real understanding and gives you the record to show for it. It works best alongside your legal and technical teams, not instead of them.
Format and languages
The toolkit is delivered as a set of editable documents and slides you can download and adapt to your own organisation. It is available in English and German, written so it translates cleanly for teams working across Europe and Australia.
